Luke 10:38-42 gives a brief account of sisters Martha and Mary and their interactions with Jesus in their home.  The story has these four elements:

1. Differences between believers (v38-41).

2. Doubting Jesus’ care (v40).

3. Distraction by lesser things (v40,41).

4. Devotion to Christ and His words (v39,42).
