Why Are You Seeking Jesus?

In John 6:26, Jesus began His extended discussion with the crowd who followed Him by challenging their reasons for seeking after Him.  This leads to several lessons about seeking Jesus.  (1) Jesus cares about why people seek Him, (2) Many people seek Jesus for selfish and carnal reasons, and (3) True seekers pursue Christ because of His own glorious worthiness.

A Difficult Trial and a Glorious Deliverance

This message deals with the Biblical account of Jesus walking on the Sea of Galilee. The twelve disciples experienced a sudden and serious trial when their boat was overtaken by a sudden windstorm in the midst of the Sea. Jesus came to their aid, however, working several glorious miracles in the process. The message makes many applications from this story to the Christian's experience of facing and overcoming the various trials (storms) of life.
