In John 6:44-46, Jesus teaches three major truths about how sinners come to Christ for salvation: (1) People are unable to come to Christ without God's grace, (2) God the Father effectually draws certain people to Christ for salvation, and (3) The Father draws them by an individual teaching or revelation.

Jesus Not Discouraged by Unbelieving Crowds
Jesus faced unbelieving audiences throughout His ministry, and this is
especially seen in John chapter 6. Jesus confronted the crowd's
unbelief and then explained why He was not discouraged, teaching four
major salvation truths: (1) There are particular people that God the
Father has given to Christ, (2) Every one of these people will
eventually come to Christ for salvation, (3) No one who comes to Christ
will be rejected by Him, and (4) All who come to Christ will be kept
securely until their ultimate glorification.

The True Bread From Heaven
In John chapter 6, Jesus identifies Himself as the "true bread", the "bread of God", the "living bread" and the "bread of life". He, as the true bread: (1) fulfills the type of the OT manna, (2) was given by God the Father, (3) came from heaven, (4) is provided for the whole world, (5) satisfies permanently, and (6) gives eternal life. Most importantly, each person must individually feed upon Christ by faith for salvation.

What Food Are You Working For?
Jesus challenged His hearers not to work for the perishing food of this world but instead to obtain the eternal food of salvation in Himself. He also specified that this eternal food is (1) only available as a gift from Christ and (2) must be received by faith in Him. Christians are often spiritually anemic because they invest too much toward worldly concerns and too little toward eternal, heavenly treasures.
