1Peter 5:6 exhorts us to "humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God". Here are six areas in which we must do so:
1. Salvation - Luke 18:13-14, Matthew 18:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1Timothy 1:15.
2. Election - Romans 9:20-21, 11:18-25, 1Corinthians 1:26-29.
3. Providence - Amos 3:6, Job 1:20-21, Psalm 18:30, Isaiah 45:9, James 4:13-16.
4. Scripture - Isaiah 66:2, Philippians 2:12-13.
5. Prayer - Revelation 3:17, 2Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 10:17, Matthew 15:21-28.
6. Worship - Psalm 95:6, 8:3-4, Isaiah 6:1-5, Job 40:4, 42:4-6, Psalm 115:1.
