This message examines the topic of water baptism. On the one hand we may be tempted to despise baptism -- either failing to be baptized ourselves or not appreciating the beneficial role of baptism in our salvation. On the other hand, many make too much of baptism, even perverting the Gospel by adding human good works to the all-sufficient saving work of Christ. We seek to avoid both extremes by rightly understanding the Apostle Peter's teaching in 1Peter 3:21.
